A.
The Town
of Hartford hereby designates that portions of the following roads
may be lawfully traveled and traversed by snowmobiles to access designated
trails, provided that the portions are posted:

B.
Anyone
using the designated roads shall follow all New York State Department
of Motor Vehicles vehicle and traffic laws.
C.
All portions
of designated roads shall be signed in compliance with the Manual
on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
D.
All signs
or markers shall be erected at the expense of the state or municipality;
provided, however, that the municipality may accept funds or contributions
therefor from private persons, clubs or associations interested in
the promotion of snowmobiles.

Stop signs shall be placed by the Town at all intersecting Town
roads with the exception of the Shine Hill Road and McDougall Road
intersections with State Route 196. These yield intersections are
regulated by the New York State Department of Transportation.[1]
