No person shall hold a garage sale or yard sale within the City
of Olivette without obtaining a license therefor.

Applications for such license shall be made in such form as
shall be required by the City and shall be accompanied by a fee of
five dollars ($5.00).

A.
Garage
or yard sales shall be in conformity with the following regulations:
1.
No personalty belonging to persons other than those occupying the
premises from which the sale is to be conducted shall be offered for
sale.
2.
There shall be no display of such items in the front yard of the
premises.
3.
No signs shall be posted anywhere in the City advertising such sale,
except that the owner or occupant of the said premises may install:
a.
One (1) sign on the property from which the sale is to be held; and
b.
Two (2) other sign(s) advertising such sale.

Such signs shall not exceed two (2) feet by three (3) feet in
size and shall not be erected earlier than one (1) day prior to the
date of the sale and shall be removed at the end of the last day upon
which the sale is being held.

4.
Not more than two (2) such sales shall be held from the same premises
per annum, if occupied by the same family or any member of such family.
5.
Any such sale shall not be opened earlier than 8:00 A.M. nor conducted
later than 6:00 P.M. and shall not extend more than three (3) consecutive
days.
