As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
AUTHORIZED AGENT
Any City employee either specifically designated by the Director
of Recreation and Public Affairs, or by the nature of his or her inherent
job responsibilities (police and fire personnel) may enforce the requirements
of this chapter.
AUTHORIZED PERMIT
A document signed by the Director of Recreation and Public Affairs authorizing the use of a park facility for a stated event, or duration, or both; and for which the appropriate fee has been paid pursuant to §
149-25.
DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR
For the purpose of this chapter, the Director of Recreation
and Public Affairs may also be referred to as the Department Director.
PARK FACILITY / RESOURCE
Any recreational area, park, lake, structure, or building under the direct responsibility of the Director of Recreation and Public Affairs as expressed in Section §
3-22.
PERSON
A natural person, association, corporation, limited-liability
company, partnership, trust or other legal entity.
PUBLIC LANDS
Lands and improvements owned or leased by the City of Bridgeton
including public alleys, highways, roads and streets.
SERVICE (ASSISTANCE) DOG
Any dog that has been trained to assist its handler with
a physical or psychiatric disability. These dogs can be identified
by tags, photo IDs, or other document types provided by organizations
such as the Service Dogs of America.
SPECIAL EVENT
An artistic, educational, recreational or social event sponsored,
cosponsored or authorized by the City of Bridgeton for the benefit
of the public at large which may or may not have a charge for admission.
SUNRISE (SUNSET)
The time of day designated for sunrise (or sunset) as specified
in the weather section of the most local official newspaper for the
City of Bridgeton.
