The purpose of this chapter is to ensure proper improvement
of and connection to public sanitary sewers, prevent harmful discharge
of waters and wastes into public sanitary sewers and allow for penalties
for the violation thereof in accordance with the adopted laws and
regulations of the municipality with jurisdictional authority to provide
sanitary sewer service.
This chapter shall apply to all lands within the Town of Canandaigua,
New York.
In the Town of Canandaigua, public sanitary sewer service is
provided by Ontario County and the Town of Farmington. Both municipalities
have adopted their own local laws and regulations that shall be applicable
to improvements and use of their respective systems within the Town
of Canandaigua.
A. Improvements to and use of public sanitary sewers in the Town of
Canandaigua shall be subject to all requirements of the municipality
providing the public sanitary sewer service, including but not limited
to permitting requirements, fees, application procedures, design review,
inspection, and final approval.
B. Penalties for violations shall be as prescribed in the adopted laws
and regulations of the municipality providing the public sanitary
sewer service.
C. The Town of Canandaigua shall coordinate with the municipality providing
the public sanitary sewer service to ensure compliance with applicable
standards.
