The City Administrator may appoint
or remove the Municipal Court Clerk. The term of the Municipal Court
Clerk shall continue at will of the City from the date of appointment
for an indefinite period of time or until such employment is terminated
as provided herein.

A. The Municipal Court Clerk shall, among
other duties, prepare and post or supervise the preparation of the
permanent docket book for all traffic and other offenses handled in
the Municipal Court. He/she shall safely and properly keep all journals,
records, books and documents belonging or pertaining to the Municipal
Court. The Court Clerk may be an official or employee of the City.
B. The Municipal Court Clerk shall attend
Court sessions to record events, receive monies and schedule reappearances
and accept affidavits and appeal bonds for cases appealed from Municipal
Court. He/she shall, whenever required, receive and issue receipts
for all monies paid to the Municipal Court and transmit all monies
to the Treasury of the City of Wildwood.
C. The Municipal Court Clerk shall have custody
of Missouri uniform traffic and illegal parking tickets and shall
issue to Police Officers and maintain records of the same. He/she
shall receive traffic tickets issued by Police Officers; record and
process same for the Municipal Court and when required, collect fines
and report convictions to the State of Missouri.

Compensation for the Municipal Court
Clerk shall be established by the City Council.

At the request of the Municipal Court
Clerk, the City Administrator may appoint clerical assistants for
the Court Clerk; such positions shall be authorized by the City Council.

During any period in which the City
of Wildwood is without a Municipal Court Clerk or Deputy Court Clerk,
the City Clerk shall have the responsibility to perform the Court
Clerk's duties.

The City Administrator is authorized to employ one (1) or more Deputy Court Clerks to assist in the performance of the functions of the Municipal Court Clerk. Each Deputy Court Clerk shall be subject to the same regulations, and shall have the same authority, as the Municipal Court Clerk, pursuant to Article
II of this Chapter.

A. The Municipal Court Clerk shall be authorized to write checks and issue transfers on the following municipal accounts in the same manner and subject to the same restrictions as other officers as set forth in Chapter
145 of this Code:
1.
Municipal Division of Circuit Court
of Municipality of Wildwood: Court Costs and Fines.
2.
Municipal Division of Circuit Court
of Municipality of Wildwood: Court Bond Account.
B. No transfer or check shall be issued from
any Municipal Court account except to transfer funds to municipal
accounts or as otherwise may be required, but in no event shall expenditures
for Municipal Court activities or operation be expended from any Municipal
Court account.
