The provisions of this Title prohibiting the standing or parking of a vehicle shall apply at all times or at those times herein specified or as indicated on official signs except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a Police Officer or official traffic control device.

The provisions of this Title imposing a time limit on parking shall not relieve any person from the duty to observe other and more restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the stopping, standing, or parking of vehicles in specified places or at specified times.

When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets described by ordinance.

Except for the time limitation on parking set forth in Section 365.080(A), whenever by this Title or any ordinance of the City any parking time limit is imposed or parking is prohibited on designated streets, it shall be the duty of the Director of Public Works to erect appropriate signs giving notice of such time limitation or parking prohibition, and no such regulation shall be effective unless said signs are erected and in place at the time of any alleged offense.

In cases where an equally direct and convenient alternate route is provided, an ordinance may describe and signs may be erected giving notice thereof, that no persons shall operate any commercial vehicle upon streets or parts of streets so described except those commercial vehicles making deliveries thereon.

A. 
In cases where at least one (1) other route, with lawful traffic movement and access from both directions, is available for use by tractor-trailers to access any roads in the State highway system, an ordinance may describe and signs may be erected giving notice thereof, that no person shall operate any tractor-trailer upon streets or parts of streets so described, except those tractor-trailer trips originating from property located on the streets so described, or making pick-ups or deliveries on such streets, or except as may otherwise be provided for by ordinance.
B. 
The City Traffic Engineer may establish policies for the enforcement of this Section and/or any ordinance promulgated under the authority of this Section.

A. 
No person shall park any vehicle on any public roadway for a period in excess of twenty-four (24) consecutive hours except:
1. 
In an emergency; or
2. 
Between 5:00 P.M. Friday and 9:00 A.M. Monday.
B. 
No person shall park or leave any boat or any camper, trailer, motor home or commercial vehicle which is more than twenty-five (25) feet in length or nine (9) feet in height or eight (8) feet in width on any public roadway for a period of more than one (1) hour in any one (1) calendar day, except in an emergency or when in the process of loading or unloading the vehicle.

No person shall park or permit a vehicle to remain in the front yard of residential property, unless such vehicle is parked on a driveway.

No commercial motor vehicle having a gross weight in excess of twelve thousand (12,000) pounds shall be parked on any roadway or highway in a residential district between the hours of 12:00 Midnight and 6:00 A.M. of any day, except in an emergency.
