A. The
Seal of the City shall be as follows: In circular form, two (2) inches
in diameter. There shall be an outer circle with an outer border of
twisted rope design. In the upper portion of the outer circle, the
words "City of Union", bordered by one (1) star on each end shall
appear, and the words "State of Missouri", bordered by one (1) star
on each end shall appear in the bottom portion of the outer circle.
The word "Seal" shall be on the left side of the outer circle and
"1827" shall appear on the right side of the outer circle.
B. The
inner circle of the seal shall be separated from the outer circle
by a double-line circle. The inner circle shall be dominated by an
eagle, with wings spread, perched on a stars and stripes shield and
three (3) laurel branches. The inner circle will also contain a horizontal
bar across the top with the words "County of Franklin" imprinted therein.
