Editor's Note: The local law was approved at referendum 11-4-2008.
The term of office of the elected Town Tax Collector shall be
four years. Such four-year term shall commence as of the first day
of January, following the first biennial Town election at which a
person is elected to such office. Thereafter, the Town Tax Collector
shall be elected for terms of four years. The four-year term provided
by this section shall also apply to the person elected to such office
at the election to be held on November 4, 2008.
This article shall supersede Town Law, § 24 relating
to the term of office for Town Tax Collector of the Town of Royalton.
