A. The
owner of all houses, buildings, or properties used for human employment,
recreation, or other purposes, situated within the City of Byrnes
Mill, Missouri, and abutting on any street, alley or right-of-way
in which there is located a public sanitary or combined sewer line
of the City of Byrnes Mill not now connected, is hereby required at
his/her expense to install suitable toilet facilities therein, and
to connect such facilities directly with the proper public sewer in
accordance with the provisions of this Section, within ninety (90)
days after date of notice to do so, provided that said public sewer
line is within one hundred (100) feet (30.5 meter) of the property
line. This requirement shall not apply where a single-family residence
is greater than four hundred ninety-nine (499) feet from said sanitary
sewer trunk line.
B. It is the intention of this Section to no longer permit privies, septic tanks, cesspools or any type of open sewer outlets in a location where a public sewer system is available, all as is described in Subsection
(A) of Section
700.025.
C. Violation
of this Section shall be a separate violation for each day the violation
continues. Any person found guilty of violating this Section shall
be subject to a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00).
