Water service may be disconnected by the Town of Ocean View
for nonpayment of water service bills, pursuant to the following procedure:
A. A water service bill shall be delinquent if it is not paid within
30 days of the billing date indicated on the bill. Upon delinquency
of any water service bill, the Town of Ocean View shall send notice
notifying the owner and tenant of said property that water service
will be disconnected at said property due to nonpayment of water service
bills, at a date stated in the notice, said disconnection date to
be not sooner than 10 days following the date of mailing or following
the hand delivery of said notice.
B. Said notice shall be sent by first class mail with proof of mailing
or hand delivered to the owner of any property provided with water
service in the Town of Ocean View at the last known billing address
of such owner. Said notice shall also be sent to any tenant of said
property provided with water service in the Town of Ocean View.
C. A similar notice shall be posted on the structure receiving water
service. Posting shall suffice as notice to the tenant.
D. Said notice shall notify the property owner and tenant that disputed
bills may be brought to the attention of the Town Manager of the Town
of Ocean View within three business days following the date of mailing,
hand delivery or posting, whichever is later, in order that the Town
Manager may review the accuracy of the bill.

A. The Town Manager shall designate an official who may, from time to
time, have access to premises required to be connected to the Town's
public water system. Access by an authorized agent shall be limited
to the Town's regular business hours except in the case of an
emergency. A duly authorized employee of the Town or its designee
bearing proper credentials and identification shall be permitted to
enter all private properties for the purpose of inspection, observation,
measurement, sampling, repair, and testing. Whenever practicable,
the Town will notify the customer in advance of its intent to inspect
the premises.
B. The purpose of this inspection shall be to examine the premises for
the following:
(1) To inspect for connection to the Town's water system and for
cross-connection or disconnection of all unauthorized wells, pipes,
and other fixtures; and
(2) To inspect for defective, damaged, improperly installed, or imperfect
pipes, fixtures, use or otherwise that may cause contamination of
the Town's water system.

All fees and charges for connection to and consumption of water
from the Town's water shall be the responsibility of the property
owner.
