The City Attorney shall provide such advice as is requested
by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen and shall represent the City in
all legal matters involving the City or coming before the Board, with
the exception of those duties which may have been assigned to the
City Prosecutor. Such duties shall further include the drafting and
preparation of all ordinances as requested by the Mayor and Board;
shall include, when so directed by the Mayor and Board or Aldermen,
representing the City in all legal proceedings filed on record in
any court in the State of Missouri; drafting and reviewing such contracts
and other legal documents which may involve or affect the City; and,
generally, to perform such duties and assume such responsibilities
as may be directed by the Mayor and the Board, including those duties
as are now or as may hereinafter be set forth in the ordinances of
the City of Strafford, together with those duties now or hereinafter
set forth in the Revised Statutes of Missouri, including, but not
limited to, those set forth in Chapters 71, 72, 79, 88, 89, 94 and
95, RSMo.
