A. Availability. This service is available to the customers located
on the Borough's distribution lines who desire service for household
and other related uses in a single private dwelling or an individual
dwelling unit in a multiple dwelling structure and its appurtenant
detached buildings.
B. Character of service. The service provided shall be alternating current,
nominal frequency 60 hertz (cycles per second).
(1) Single-phase: 120 volts, two-wire; 120/208 volts, three-wire; 120/240
volts, three-wire; and
(2) Three-phase: 120/240 volts, four-wire or 120/208 volts, four-wire.
C. Billing. The charges for electrical use are computed and billed on
a bimonthly basis for service taken.
D. Monthly rate.
(2) Energy charge, all KWH: $0.15326.
(3) The adjustment clause shall be applied to all KWH supplied under
this rate.
E. Minimum monthly charge. The minimum charge shall be an amount equal
to the customer charge but not less than $6.52.
F. Payment terms. Bills are due payable when rendered. If unpaid at
the end of 25 days, the Board of Public Works reserves the right to
terminate service following suitable written notice.
G. Special provisions. Owners of record of property within the Borough
of Park Ridge shall not be required to pay a deposit. All others shall
be required to pay a deposit based upon estimated bills which would
accrue for 2 1/2 months' service. The Board of Public Works
shall have the right to increase the amount of a deposit if in its
judgment such action is necessary.

E. Minimum monthly charge. The minimum monthly charge shall be an amount
equal to the customer charge per month but not less than $6.52.
F. Payment terms. The bills are due when rendered. If the bill is not
paid within 25 days, The Board of Public Works reserves the right
to terminate service following suitable written notice.
G. Special provisions. Owners of record of property within the Borough
of Park Ridge shall not be required to pay a deposit. All tenants
are required to pay a security deposit. Such deposit will be held
until the premises are vacated and all final bills are paid in full.
Interest on the deposit is applied to the account once a year. The
Board of Public Works shall have the right to increase the amount
of the deposit if in its judgment such action is necessary.

A. Applicability. This rate shall be applicable to the use of service
for private residential purposes when the following criteria and conditions
are met:
(1) Senior citizens: Customers must be at least 65 years of age;
(2) Lifeline: Customer must be listed on the schedule of eligible customers
established by the Commissioner of the Department of Human Services
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 48:2-29.16;
(3) Disability: Customer must present a physician's certificate
verifying customer's permanent and total disability of a copy
of the social security award certificate form No. SS A-30 to demonstrate
disability;
(4) A customer who satisfies the criteria of Subsection
A(1),
(2) or
(3) above and who meets all of the conditions of this Subsection
A(4) shall be eligible for the appropriate rate.
(a)
Customer must have an income not to exceed the State of New
Jersey tax-exemption qualification level from all sources, taxable
and nontaxable, but not including social security; and
(b)
Total income of all persons who reside in customer's household
from all sourced, taxable and nontaxable, but not including social
security, shall not exceed $6,000 per annum.
(5) The Borough Tax Collector shall be the enforcing agent and shall
annually certify those residents eligible for the senior citizens,
lifeline and disability rate.
(6) The rate shall be effective only upon application to and approval
by the Borough Tax Collector in its sole and complete discretion as
to qualification hereunder.
(7) Any of the above limits and qualifications may be modified or changed
by proper resolution of the Board of Public Works on a showing of
good cause.

at the end of 25 days, the Board of Public Works reserves the right
to terminate service following suitable written notice.
G. Special provisions. Owners of record of property within the Borough
of Park Ridge shall not be required to pay a deposit. All others shall
be required to pay a deposit based upon estimated bills which would
accrue for 2 1/2 months' services. The Board of Public Works
shall have the right to increase the amount of a deposit if in its
judgment such action is necessary.

Borough's distribution lines desiring electric service for general
lighting and/or power service and whose annual average billing demand
is not more than 100 KW. All such service shall be taken through one
meter.
B. Character of service. Alternating current, 60 cycle.
(1) Single-phase: 120/240 volts, three-wire; and
(2) Three-phase: 120/240 volts, four-wire; 240 volts, three-wire; or
120/208 volts, four-wire, and where existing facilities permit, 277/480
volts, four-wire may be supplied.
C. Billing. Charges are computed and billed on a monthly basis with
monthly payments for service taken.
D. Monthly rate.
(1) The customer's monthly bill shall be the sum of the demand and
energy charges.
(a)
Customer charges, including first three KW demand: $29.33.
(b)
Demand charge, all KW above three KW demand: $14.47.
(c)
Energy charge, all KWH: $0.12675.
(2) The adjustment clause shall be applied to all KWH supplied under
this rate.
E. Minimum monthly charge. The minimum monthly charge shall be an amount
equal to the customer charge but not less than $29.33.
F. Determination of demand. The demand will be determined at the option
of the Board of Public Works by estimate or by test at the time of
maximum use or by demand meter measurement. When measured by indicating
meters, the demand shall be the highest 15 minutes demand in kilowatts
used during the month.

G. Payment terms. Bills are due and payable when rendered. If unpaid
at the end of 25 days, the Board of Public Works reserves the right
to terminate service following suitable written notice.
H. Special provisions. Owners of record of property within the Borough
of Park Ridge shall not be required to pay a deposit. All others shall
be required to pay a deposit based on at least 2 1/2 times the
estimated monthly bill. In no case shall a deposit be less than $1,000.

bridge, parks and outdoor lighting in the entire territory served
by the Borough.

this rate.
E. Minimum monthly charge: $6.52 per month.

at the end of 25 days, the Board of Public Works reserves the right

A. An adjustment clause shall be applied to each kilowatt-hour (KWH)
supplied under all rate schedules. This adjustment clause, determined
to the nearest $0.00001 in accordance with the formula set forth below,
shall be applied to all kilowatt-hours supplied during the billing
period. It shall be determined on an annual basis, but may be revised
periodically during the course of the year by the Board of Public
Works upon a showing of good cause.
B. Effective May 1, 2023, the power adjustment rate is $0.00652 (per
KWH).

All residential and commercial users, both owner and tenant:
A. Who are delinquent 60 days or more from the billing due date are
subject to discontinuation of services.
B. Whose service is disconnected will be charged a shutoff fee of $50.
There will be no reconnect fee during the Park Ridge Electric Department's
normal business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
C. Will be charged a reconnection fee of $100 during nonbusiness hours,
prior to 7:30 a.m. and after 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Owners of record of property within the Borough of Park Ridge
shall not be required to pay a deposit. All tenants within the Borough
of Park Ridge shall be required to pay a deposit based upon estimated
bills which would accrue for two months' services or a minimum of
the following:

All new commercial users within the Borough of Park Ridge shall
be required to pay a deposit as follows:
C. New general power commercial power users that intend to operate a
use similar to that of an existing commercial customer at the same
location may apply to the Board of Public Works for a reduced security
deposit. New general power commercial users seeking a reduced deposit
shall be required to submit an application for reduction with the
new general commercial power user's initial $1,000 deposit. Upon review
of the application, the Board of Public Works shall reduce the deposit
to an amount equal to the one-year average of the prior commercial
power user's prior two years of billing or the amount of $350, whichever
is greater. In the event the Board of Public Works determines to reduce
the security deposit, it shall issue a refund to the customer with
the next utility cycle bill in an amount equal to the general commercial
customer's initial $1,000 deposit less the amount of the charge for
that utility cycle bill and less the amount of the administratively
reduced required security deposit.

Security deposits must be paid in full within three business
days when an account is opened. Failure to pay said security deposit
shall result in discontinuation of service. Such deposit will be held
until the premises are vacated and all final bills are paid in full.

of a deposit if in its judgment such action is necessary."

All residential and commercial users, both owner and tenant,
whose account becomes 30 days or more delinquent shall be subject
to the following:
A. Owner-occupied residential and existing commercial users shall be required to pay a deposit as outlined in Sections §§
55A-12 and
55A-13, respectively.
B. In addition, all delinquent users shall be subject to an increase
in deposit based upon estimated bills which would accrue for two months'
service calculated using an average of the two highest billings in
the 12 months; or if service has not been in effect for 12 months,
then the average would be calculated based upon time occupied.

A. Availability: for the usage of all electric vehicle charging stations
located on public property that are owned and maintained by the Borough
of Park Ridge.
B. Rate:
(1) Connection fee: $1 per hour connected to the electric vehicle charging
station.
(2) Energy consumption fee: $0.35 per kilowatt-hour consumed.
