This Chapter shall be known, referred to and cited as the Zoning Ordinance of Desloge, Missouri.

A. 
The zoning regulations set forth herein are enacted to implement the land use portion of the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Desloge pursuant to the provisions of Missouri State Statutes in order to:
1. 
Promote the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the citizens of the City;
2. 
Secure safety from fire, panic and other dangers;
3. 
Preserve and protect property values throughout the City;
4. 
Lessen congestion in the streets;
5. 
Restrict and regulate the height, number of stories and size of structures; the percentage of lot coverage; the size of yards, courts and other open spaces; and the density of population;
6. 
Divide the City into zones and districts;
7. 
Regulate and restrict the location and use of structures and land within each district or zone; and
8. 
Facilitate the adequate provisions of transportation, water, sewerage, schools, parks and other public requirements.
