Employees and applicants for positions with the City of Trenton
and Trenton municipal utilities are encouraged to live within the
City limits of the City of Trenton. The head of each department has
the authority to require residency deemed appropriate for his or her
department. Any specific departmental residency requirements shall
be in writing and incorporated in the job description. Disputes concerning
this Section shall be resolved by the City Administrator at and within
his/her sole discretion.

The City Administrator and each department head, in consultation,
may, at their discretion, set such other requirements as deemed necessary
for the good of the department and the City. Disputes concerning actual
response time shall be resolved by the City Administrator at and within
his/her sole discretion.
