[R.O. 2011 §59.010]
Any person desiring to engage in the business of operating a
watchmen's service within the City of Savannah, for the purpose of
providing security to business or residential property, must make
application for a license therefor, in person, to the Board of Aldermen.

A yearly fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) will be charged for a
license required by this Article.
[R.O. 2011 §59.030]
A person applying for a license required by this Article must
be of a sober nature, of good moral character and be without any conviction
of a felony, misdemeanor or any ordinance violation involving moral
turpitude.
[R.O. 2011 §59.040]
All persons licensed pursuant to this Article shall submit to
the Board of Aldermen and keep in force a surety bond in the amount
of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00).

All persons licensed pursuant to this Article and their employees
shall be eligible, upon approval of the Board of Aldermen, for a special
police commission for the purpose of carrying a firearm while operating
pursuant to their license, under such restrictions as the Board of
Aldermen may from time to time impose.

Any violation of any of the provisions of this Article, or restrictions
imposed by the Board of Aldermen, shall at the discretion of the Board
of Aldermen be sufficient grounds to revoke the license issued pursuant
to this Article.
