The City shall establish a Cable
Advisory Board consisting of not more than five (5) residents of the
City, serving staggered two-year terms or until successors are appointed.
The Cable Advisory Board shall select one (1) member annually who
shall serve as Chairman.

A. The Cable Advisory Board shall have the
following duties:
1.
Consumer Protection. The Cable Advisory
Board shall assist the Franchise Administrator by notifying him/her
of any subscriber complaints regarding service or performance of all
operators in the City and may inquire into consumer complaints, serve
as a source of information to the public, and make recommendations
to the City and any operator, including the City or its affiliate,
concerning consumer protection matters.
2.
System Upgrade Or Construction. The
Cable Advisory Board may review the progress and status of the upgrade
or development of a system to be provided by an operator. Should the
City direct the Cable Advisory Board to review the state of technology
offered by an operator under this Chapter or a separate franchise
agreement, the operator shall cooperate with the Cable Advisory Board
as it assesses the level of advancement in technology offered by the
operator.
3.
Additional Duties. The Cable Advisory
Board shall perform any additional duties or tasks required by the
Board or the Franchise Administrator.
