Section 500.070 Adoption of International Plumbing Code.

The Board of Aldermen hereby adopts the 2018 International Plumbing Code as published by the International Code Council, Inc., and all referenced standards, including Appendix E, as if spelled out herein, save and except such portions thereof as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended, for regulating the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, the use or maintenance of plumbing systems in the City of Ozark. A copy of said code is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Ozark, Missouri.

Section 500.080 Deletions, Modifications, Amendments, And Additions.

A. The 2018 International Plumbing Code, as adopted, is hereby amended and changed as follows:

1. Amend Section 101.1 to add the following language: City of Ozark.

2. Delete the language in Sections 103.1, 103.2 and 103.3 in their entirety and insert, in lieu thereof, the following language: See Chapter 1 of the 2018 International Building Code.

3. Amend Section 106.6.2, Fee Schedule, by adding the following language: See Section 500.190 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Ozark.

4. Delete the language in Section 106.6.3, Fee Refunds, in its entirety and insert, in lieu thereof, the following language: See Section 109.6 of the 2018 International Building Code.

5. Delete the language of Section 108.4 in its entirety and insert, in lieu thereof, the following language: See Section 500.200 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Ozark.

6. Amend Section 108.5 by deleting the last sentence of that Section and adding, in lieu thereof, the following language: Any person who shall continue any work on the system having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall be liable for a fine as prescribed in Section 500.200 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Ozark.

7. Delete Section 109 in its entirety.

8. Amend Section 305.4.1 by adding the following language: "24," "24."

9. Amend Section 903.1 by adding the following language: "12."

10. Amend Section 714.1 by adding the following language: All newly constructed one- and two-family dwellings shall have a backwater valve installed to prevent the possibility of sewage backup into the residence. Backwater valves shall be installed with access.

11. Delete Section 403.2 exception 2., in its entirety and insert, in lieu thereof, the following language: 2. Separate facilities shall not be required in structures or tenant spaces with a total occupant load, including both employees and customers of forty-nine (49) or less and which do not serve food or beverages to be consumed within the structure or tenant space.

12. Delete Section 403.2 exception 4., in its entirety and insert, in lieu thereof, the following language: 4. Separate facilities shall not be required in structures or tenant spaces that serve food or beverages to be consumed within the structure or tenant space with a total occupant load, including both employees and customers of fifteen (15) or less

13. Amend Section 410.3 by adding the following language: Exception: In all use groups except Use Group A, where the occupant load is less than forty-nine (49), a two- or five-gallon water dispenser or water cooler may be substituted for the required drinking fountain.
