A certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of Belle, being marked and designated
as International Fire Code, 2006, as published by the International
Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Fire Code of the City
of Belle in the State of Missouri for regulating and governing the
safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards
arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances,
materials and devices and from conditions hazardous to life or property
in the occupancy of buildings and premises as herein provided; providing
for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each
and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of said
Fire Code on file in the office of the City of Belle are hereby referred
to, adopted and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Article,
including any additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or
any portion of the Code adopted in this Article shall be deemed guilty
of an ordinance violation and upon conviction thereof shall be fined
in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned
in the City or County Jail for a period of not exceeding ninety (90)
days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation
is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate
offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
