Any person desiring to use water from the waterworks system
shall make application to the Building Inspector for a water meter.
The meter shall be installed by the City Water and Sewer Department
and repaired and maintained in good working order at the expense of
the City.

No person shall be granted permission to tap any water main
until the owner or his/her representative shall have paid the sum
of fifty dollars ($50.00) plus one hundred twenty percent (120%) of
the cost of materials for the privilege of tapping any such main.

A. No
person shall connect with the water system of this City without prior
authorization.
B. Any
person desiring to use City water from a fire hydrant shall make application
to the Water Department who shall supervise the connection thereof.
C. The City Council shall, by resolution, specify the hydrants, rates and other regulations pertaining to Subsection
(B).
D. Any person tampering with or connecting to the water system of this City without prior authority under the provisions of this Section shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation and shall be punished as provided in Section
100.110 of this Code.
E. Whoever shall, without permission, turn on any water from any pipe which has been cut off by the Utilities Superintendent, or whoever shall procure any water from any hydrant or pipe that has been shut off by the Superintendent, shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation and upon conviction shall be punished as provided in Section
100.110 of this Code.
