For each wiring inspection made by the Utilities Superintendent
or any one (1) or more of his/her assistants, there shall be charged
to the person requesting that service the minimum sum of ten dollars
($10.00).

A. All
wiring done under the provisions of this Article shall conform to
the rules and regulations of the City Electrical Code as to material,
workmanship, installation, maintenance and use, and all other respects.
All wiring which has already been installed shall be thoroughly inspected
by the Utilities Superintendent or one (1) of his/her assistants and
shall be made to conform in all respects to the requirements of the
City Electrical Code before connection shall be had with the City
electric distribution system.
B. All
electric meters, so far as practicable, shall be installed so as to
be accessible to the meter reader, the location thereof to be approved
by the Utilities Superintendent.

All poles or other supports for wires used for the transmission
of electric current for lighting power or other purposes, within this
City, or running through, across or over the same or any part thereof
shall be substantially placed and shall be so placed as not to interfere
with the free use of the streets, sidewalks, alleys or private property
within the City.

A. The
City reserves the right to refund the original purchase price of any
watt-hour meter to its owner and to take over the ownership thereof.
In turn, the owner will be required to make a non-interest bearing
cash deposit on any meter subsequently furnished him/her, the amount
of which shall be determined by the watt-hour capacity of the meter
required to properly serve the consumer. Upon discontinuance of service
and presentation of the receipt for the meter deposit, the City will
refund the full amount thereof and will bear all normal depreciation
on the meter. The consumer will be expected to exercise proper care
of the meter and shall be held responsible for any damage or loss
due to his/her carelessness.
B. The
City reserves the right to change the meter, its location or installation
as it may see fit, at no expense to the property owner, except in
case it becomes necessary to install a meter of larger watt-hour capacity,
in which event an additional sum will be required.

Any person who shall connect with or use any electric current
in connection with electric current distribution system of this City
in any manner as provided or authorized by this Article, or who shall
in any way tamper with, disturb or molest, in any manner whatsoever,
the electric current distribution system of this City, without the
knowledge and consent of the Utilities Superintendent and in the manner
as set out above, or after the same has been disconnected thereby,
or shall maliciously or willfully injure or destroy any of the poles,
wires, insulators, electric lighting fixtures or appliances of any
kind, whether belonging to the City or to any private individual within
this City shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.
