This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Games of Chance Licensing Ordinance." The Town Board hereby declares that the raising of funds for the promotion of bona fide charitable, educational, scientific, health, religious and patriotic causes and undertakings is in the public interest.

This chapter is authorized by Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, embracing §§ 185 through and including 195-k. All provisions of said Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law are hereby incorporated into this chapter by reference, as though fully set forth herein.
The regulation of said games of chance and the supervision thereof shall be governed by § 188-a of the General Municipal Law, as amended, and shall be governed by the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.
The restrictions and regulations concerning the conduct of said games of chance shall be as set forth in § 189, Subdivisions 1 through 9, of the General Municipal Law, as amended.
The application and procedure for the obtaining of a license to operate games of chance shall be governed by § 190, Subdivisions 1 and 2, of the General Municipal Law, as amended.

In accordance with the provisions of General Municipal Law § 195, the licensing authority may permit the conducting of games of chance on Sunday, only between the hours of 12:00 noon and 12:00 midnight, provided that such authorization is specifically included in the license issued therefor.
Additional and further rules and regulations concerning the operation and running of games of chance shall be as set forth in §§ 191 through 195-k of the General Municipal Law, as amended.
