Whenever a term is used in this chapter which is defined in P.L. 1975, c. 291, such term is intended to have the meaning set forth in the definition of such term found in said statute, unless a contrary intention is clearly expressed from the context of this chapter.
Pursuant to the provisions of P.L. 1975, c. 291, Section 81, the substantive provisions of the existing Land Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance, Planning Board Ordinance and Site Plan Review Ordinance of the Borough of Bellmawr and the development regulations set forth therein shall continue in full force and effect and shall be read in pari materia with this chapter.[1]

All applications for development filed prior to the effective date of this chapter may be continued, but any appeals arising out of decisions made on any such applications shall be governed by the provisions of Article IV of this chapter.
This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Land Use Procedures Ordinance of the Borough of Bellmawr."
Immediately upon adoption of this chapter the Municipal Clerk shall file a copy of this chapter with the County Planning Board as required by law. The Clerk shall also file with said County Planning Board copies of all other ordinances of the municipality relating to land use, such as the Land Subdivision and Zoning Ordinances.
