An outdoor retail sale open to the general public of Christmas
trees during the period of November 1 through December 25.
Any person or entity wishing to sell Christmas trees during
the designated period shall submit an application to the Township
Manager. The application shall specify the nature, scope, duration
and location of the proposed Christmas tree sale as well as the consent
of the property owner if the sale is not taking place on the applicant's
property. The Township Manager shall submit each request to the Township
Council with a recommendation as to the appropriateness of approving
the application.
No Christmas tree sale under this article shall be undertaken
unless and until approval in writing has been issued by the Township
Manager upon approval by the Township Council.
A permit fee in the amount of $500 shall be paid immediately
upon receiving notice of approval to conduct requested activity. Exempted
from payment of the permit fee are charitable organizations that are
organized and operated for the public benefit such as Girl Scouts,
Boy Scouts, fraternal organizations, civic clubs and service clubs.
