Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter
or fail to comply with the provisions thereof, or who shall violate
or fail to comply with any order made thereunder, shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not less than $250 nor more
than $2,500 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both
such fine and imprisonment.

The imposition of a penalty for any violation shall not excuse the
violation or allow it to continue, and all such persons shall be required
to correct or remedy such violations or defects within a reasonable
time, and when not otherwise specified, a separate offense shall be
deemed committed for each day that the prohibited conditions are maintained
following receipt of a notice from the Fire Marshal or CEO identifying
the violation and requiring its correction. Said notice shall be mailed
to the owner, at his or her mailing address as listed on the Town's
most recent tax roll, by certified mail, return-receipt requested.
