A. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Fredericktown, Missouri,
do hereby authorize the Police Department of the City of Fredericktown
to provide mutual aid or emergency assistance to any neighboring county
or political subdivision in any adjoining county under the authority
set forth in Sections 70.820 and 70.837, RSMo.
B. The Fredericktown Police Department is hereby authorized under the
aforesaid statutory provision to respond and provide assistance as
requested in any mutual aid or emergency aid request, subject to the
availability of sufficient personnel and provided that the requesting
authority has the statutory ability to reciprocally respond. (As of
February 22, 1993, the State of Illinois does not have statutory authority
allowing law enforcement agencies to respond across state lines.)
C. The Chief of Police of the City of Fredericktown, Missouri, has developed guidelines to ensure the safety and protection of the citizens of the City of Fredericktown, which guidelines are set out in Section
200.180 hereof. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen, hereby adopts said guidelines and direct the Chief of Police to enforce same in responding to any mutual aid or emergency aid request.

A. In the event that the Fredericktown Police Department receives a
request from another law enforcement/public safety organization in
Madison County, Missouri, or any adjoining county, or municipality
within an adjoining county, in Missouri, for emergency assistance
the senior officer on duty will:
1.
Notify the Chief of Police, or his/her designate, of the request
and proceed as directed to provide the requested assistance; or
2.
Respond immediately to said request for emergency assistance
and, at the same time, have dispatch notify the Chief of Police, or
his/her designate, of the request and the actions being taken.
B. Notwithstanding the above, no less than two (2) officers shall remain
on duty within the City limits, with no less than one (1) on active
duty and no less than one (1) on emergency standby, at all times.
