A. 
When, in the opinion of the Township's Mayor, Emergency Management Coordinator, Public Works Director and Police Chief of Jackson Township, the actual or expected precipitation of snow will create hazardous or dangerous roadway conditions for vehicular or pedestrian traffic, the Mayor and/or Emergency Management Coordinator shall have the authority to declare a snow removal emergency.
B. 
The Mayor and/or Emergency Management Coordinator of Jackson Township shall declare a snow removal emergency by issuing a media release to the local radio and cablevision stations, news media and the Township's Web Page.
C. 
The Mayor, Emergency Management Coordinator and Chief of Police of Jackson Township shall declare Emergency Parking Areas to assist the residents in removing all vehicles from roadways.
D. 
The snow removal emergency shall continue in full force and effect until the Mayor and/or Emergency Management Coordinator declares it to be over by issuing a media release to the local radio and cablevision stations, news media and Township's Web Page.
E. 
The Mayor and/or Emergency Management Coordinator, upon issuing a snow removal emergency, shall issue proclamations declaring and rescinding said emergency and forward copies to the County Office of Emergency Management.

A. 
Residents will have four hours after the snow removal emergency declaration to move their vehicles from the streets and roads within the boundaries of Jackson Township.
B. 
Ticketing and towing of vehicles will commence four hours after the declaration. Towing before the snow actually starts is necessary to ensure clear streets and roads for the plows.
C. 
All costs associated with towing any vehicle will be the responsibility of the registered owner.

A. 
All sports-related equipment shall be removed from streets and roads.
B. 
All trash receptacles shall be removed from the streets and roads.
C. 
No person, firm or corporation, owner, tenant or occupant of any premises on any street or road shall throw, place or deposit snow or ice into or upon and street or road within the boundaries of Jackson Township.

A. 
Enforcement of this article shall be the responsibility of the following agencies:
(1) 
Municipal Police Department.
(2) 
Municipal Code Enforcement Department.

A. 
Any violation of this article may result, upon conviction, in one or more of the following penalties:
(1) 
First offense: $60.
(2) 
Second offense: $120.
(3) 
Third offense: $250 Imprisonment not to exceed 90 days or Community Service not to exceed 90 days
(4) 
All penalties are at the discretion of the Municipal Court Judge.

A. 
The Chief of Police, or in his absence the ranking police officer, is authorized to declare an emergency to enforce no parking upon street or section of streets when accidents, fires or conditions dictate or require the avoidance of hazards or other conditions which interfere with the free flow of traffic.
B. 
The Chief of Police, or in his absence the ranking police officer, is authorized to declare no parking upon streets or sections of streets for the purpose of nonemergency, public celebrations provided that temporary emergency no-parking signs are displayed.
C. 
Notification that no-parking signs are being or will be posted shall be given to the operator or owner of any vehicle which has been parked prior to the posting of the signs.
Any unoccupied vehicle parked or standing in violation of this article shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic, and any peace officer may provide for the removal of such vehicle. The owner shall pay the reasonable costs of the removal and storage which may result from such removal before regaining possession of the vehicle.
