Friendship Hose Company No. 1 of Spring Grove, organized and
existing in the Borough of Spring Grove, York County, Pennsylvania,
is hereby designated as the officially recognized fire company for
the Borough.
In addition to actually participating in the activities of the
fire company as authorized above or in going to and coming from any
activity, the members of the fire company recognized by the Borough
are also authorized to do the following:
A. Engage in any type drill, training, ceremony, practice, test or parade
when duly and properly called for and authorized by the fire company.
B. Engage in such fund-raising activities as are permitted by law, when
duly and properly authorized by the fire company.
C. Engage in the performance of any other duty or activity duly and
properly authorized by the fire company.
The purpose of this article is to recognize that the fire company's
acts which are classified as public fire-fighting duties are done
on behalf of the Borough, and to state additional authorized activities
for firefighters for workman's compensation purposes.
