The Mayor and each Councilmember shall receive $20 for each regular Council meeting, each special Council meeting and each committee/commission/board meeting which he shall attend at the request of Council.

Until that time each Councilmember and the Mayor shall receive compensation for meeting attendance not to exceed $500 in any fiscal year. In addition, however, the Mayor shall receive the sum of $500 per fiscal year. Subsequently, Ord. No. 2000-01, § I, adopted Jan. 7, 2000, repealed § 2-32 in its entirety. Councilmembers, upon authorization of the City Council, shall be allowed their reasonable expenses when actually incurred on behalf of the City.
