A. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Fredericktown, acting
in accordance with the authority granted the Board of Aldermen under
Section 305.210, RSMo., as amended, does hereby create the Fredericktown
Municipal Airport Advisory Committee in the City of Fredericktown.
The members of the Fredericktown Municipal Airport Advisory Committee
shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the consent of the Board
of Aldermen, and shall consist of five (5) members at least three
(3) of whom shall be citizens of Madison County and two (2) citizens
of the United States. No employee or elected official of the City
of Fredericktown shall be a member of the Advisory Committee. Any
member of the Advisory Committee who fails to attend three (3) consecutive
meetings may be removed from membership by a majority vote of the
Advisory Committee.
B. The members of the Airport Advisory Committee shall hold
their respective offices from the first of June following their appointment
and for a term of three (3) years, excepting that when the Board shall
first be created, two (2) members shall be appointed for a term of
three (3) years, two (2) for a term of two (2) years and one (1) for
a term of one (1) year. Members may be removed at the pleasure of
the Mayor and with the consent of the Board of Aldermen and vacancies
occasioned by the removal, resignation or otherwise of Advisory Committee
members shall be filled in a like manner as the original appointment.
C. The Airport Advisory Committee shall advise the City Administrator
from time to time of the need for development, improvement, equipping,
maintaining and operating the Municipal Airport and shall further
assist the City Administrator in establishing rules, regulations,
fees and shall make further recommendations to the City Administrator
with regard to maintaining, developing, operating and carrying out
the business of the Municipal Airport of the City of Fredericktown.
