As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
MINOR
Any person who is less than 21 years of age on the date of the offense.

A minor shall not purchase or attempt to purchase alcoholic liquor, consume or attempt to consume alcoholic liquor, possess or attempt to possess alcoholic liquor, or have any bodily alcoholic content, except as provided in MCL 436.1703.

A minor who violates § 14-11 is responsible for a municipal civil infraction or is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable as set forth in MCL 436.1703 and is not subject to the penalties prescribed by MCL 436.1909.
A. 
Generally. No alcoholic liquor shall be carried in open containers or consumed on the public streets, alleys, or other places open to the public, or in places of amusement not licensed to sell alcoholic liquor for consumption on the premises.
B. 
Public parks. Subsection A does not apply to carrying or consumption of alcoholic liquor in Township parks if authorized by ordinance or park rules.
C. 
Special events permit waiver. Subsection A may be waived for a specific date, time and location by first obtaining a special events permit from the Township.
A. 
No person shall knowingly sell or furnish alcoholic liquor to a minor or shall fail to make diligent inquiry as to whether the person is a minor.
B. 
A retail licensee shall not directly, individually, or by a clerk, agent, or servant sell, furnish, or give alcoholic liquor to a minor except as otherwise provided by state law.
