A. 
The Village of Coloma provides fire-protection services through an arrangement with the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department, a nonprofit corporation organized under Ch. 213, Wis. Stats.
B. 
The real estate and physical building housing the equipment and apparatus of the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department is owned by the Village of Coloma and will continue and shall remain available to the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department on such terms and conditions as the Village of Coloma deems appropriate.
Joint Board of Fire Commissioners. The Combined Volunteer Fire Department is administered by a Joint Board of Fire Commissioners which consists of 9 members of which three shall be from the Village, appointed by the Village President and approved by the Village Board of Trustees.

A. 
Financial support. The financial procedure and payments for the services provided by the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department are determined by the agreement which provides in part that the Joint Board of Fire Commissioners of the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department shall submit a final budget for the ensuing year which the Secretary-Treasurer of the Fire Department forwards to the Village of Coloma and the Town of Coloma. Upon approval of the budget by both the Board of Trustees of the Village and the Coloma Town Board, the Village Clerk/Treasurer provides for payment to the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department from either the general fund or by a tax levy on the Village property owners.[1]

B. 
Financial statement. The Secretary-Treasurer of the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department shall submit a complete financial statement covering the operations and fiscal status of the Fire Department annually which statements shall be verified by audit.
C. 
Claims. Upon notification by the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department of a potential claim arising under § 60.557 of the Wisconsin Statutes, the Village agrees to pursue said claim and further agrees that any funds received by virtue of said claims shall be remitted directly to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department for such use as it deems proper.
Withdrawal from the fire-protection services with the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department may be made upon the giving of a sixty-day notice to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department stating the withdrawal from the agreement. Such withdrawal from the agreement will not release any responsibility to pay any preexisting indebtedness to and incurred by the Combined Coloma Volunteer Fire Department pursuant to the terms and conditions of the agreement in effect.

A. 
The Coloma Volunteer Fire Department is designated as the agency to conduct the fire inspections for the Village of Coloma.
B. 
The Fire Chief of the Coloma Volunteer Fire Department shall have the power to appoint one or more deputy fire inspectors and shall perform all duties required of the fire inspector by laws of the state and the rules of the Department of Safety and Professional Services, particularly § 101.14, Wis. Stats.
C. 
While acting as Fire Inspector pursuant to § 101.14(2), Wis. Stats., the Fire Chief or any officer of the Fire Department designated by the Fire Chief, shall have the right and authority to enter any building or upon any premises in the Village of Coloma at all reasonable hours for the purpose of making inspections or investigations which, under this Code of Ordinances, he/she may deem necessary. Should the Fire Inspector find that any provisions of this Code relating to fire hazards and prevention of fires is being violated, or that a fire hazard exists which should be eliminated, it shall be his/her duty to give such directions for the abatement of such conditions as he/she shall deem necessary and if such directions be not complied with, to report such noncompliance to the Village Board for further action.
D. 
The Chief of the Fire Department is required, by himself/herself or by officers or members of the Fire Department designated by him/her as fire inspectors, to inspect all buildings, premises, and public thoroughfares, except the interiors of private dwellings, for the purpose of ascertaining and causing to be corrected any conditions liable to cause fire, or any violations of any law or ordinance relating to the prevention of fires. Pursuant to the Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter SPS 314.01(13)(b)7,[1] the Chief of the Fire Department is authorized to reduce the frequency of fire inspections required under Wisconsin Administrative Code SPS 314.01(13)(b)3[2] to at least once per calendar year, provided the interval between those inspections does not exceed 15 months. The Chief of the Fire Department may require or conduct more frequent inspections than required under this subsection.

E. 
Written reports of inspections shall be made and kept on file in the office of the Chief of Coloma Volunteer Fire Department in the manner of form required by the Department of Safety and Professional Services. A copy of such reports shall be filed with the Fire Chief.
