A. 
The Village of Coloma has elected, pursuant to §§ 61.195, 61.197 and 66.0101, Wis. Stats., not to be governed by those portions of §§ 61.19 and 61.23, Wis. Stats., which relate to the selection and tenure of the Village Clerk and the Village Treasurer and which are in conflict with this section.
B. 
The offices of the Village Clerk and Village Treasurer have been combined and the official to perform the duties of such offices shall be appointed by the Village President with the approval of a majority of the members of the Village Board of the Village of Coloma. The President shall not have a vote on such confirmation.
Said persons so appointed to perform the duties of such offices shall hold office for an indefinite term, subject to removal as provided by law.
Such persons appointed to perform the duties of the combined offices shall perform all duties required of both offices as provided by state law and such other duties as are requested to be executed by him/her by the Village Board from time to time.
An audit shall be made annually of the records of such official, and such audit shall be made by a certified public accountant or by the Division of State and Local Finance of the State Department of Revenue, the designation to be made by the Village Board.
