The Central York Board of School Directors is hereby authorized
to assume the hiring and oversight of school crossing guards at Hayshire
Elementary School and at other schools located in Manchester Township
where the school directors determine that school crossing guards may
be needed in the future. The School District shall henceforth assume
the cost of compensation, including fixing such compensation, of the
school crossing guards.

The Northern York County Regional Police Department shall provide
all necessary training of the school crossing guards and any needed
assistance to them while on duty as provided in § 1915(c)
of the Second Class Township Code.

The Board of School Directors shall notify the Board of Supervisors
of those hired to serve as school crossing guards and request the
necessary training or assistance prior to the start of each school
year. School crossing guards shall be in uniform and shall be authorized
only in the management of traffic and pedestrians as provided in § 1915(a)
of the Second Class Township Code.
