1. 
The Historical Commission of the Township of Thornbury is hereby created as an advisory commission reporting directly to the Board of Supervisors and shall consist of five members, all of whom shall be residents of the Township of Thornbury and shall serve without compensation.
2. 
The members of the Historical Commission shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
3. 
One of the members thus appointed shall serve for a term of one year, one for a term of two years, one for a term of three years, one for a term of four years and the remaining member for a term of five years, and at the expiration of the term of any member, a successor shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors to serve for a term of five years.
4. 
The Historical Commission shall meet during the month of January of each year and shall organize itself by appointing a chairman, vice-chairman and secretary, schedule appropriate meetings and to conduct any and all other business which shall properly be before it.
5. 
In the event a vacancy occurs in the Historical Commission, the Board of Supervisors of Thornbury Township may appoint a resident to complete the unexpired term.
