In accordance with Act 3 of 2008 there is hereby established
the position of Right to Know Officer for the City of Pittston, with
all of the powers and duties as set forth in said act.
Pursuant to the hiring policies of the City of Pittston as set
forth in the Home Rule Charter and applicable City ordinances and
resolutions, the City Administrator shall identify a qualified individual
to serve as Right to Know Officer for the City of Pittston, and the
City Council shall, by resolution, confirm the appointment under such
terms and with such compensation as prescribed in the resolution of
appointment and subject to appropriation within the General Fund operating
budget.
The City shall indemnify and insure the Right to Know Officer
in the performance of official duties and functions.
