The provisions of this article imposing a time
limit on parking shall not relieve any person of the duty to observe
other and more restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the
stopping, standing or parking of vehicles as set forth in N.J.S.A.
39:4-138, any other New Jersey statute or as hereinafter provided.

A. No person
shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts
thereof described in Schedule I, attached to and made a part of this
chapter.
B. No person
shall park a vehicle at any time where in all or any part of the vehicle
shall be upon the planting strip. For the purposes of this subsection,
the planting strip shall be defined as the portion of land between
the paved portion of the roadway to the sidewalk.

A. Permit parking only. No vehicle shall be parked on the streets, or
parts of streets, set forth in Schedule XXIII, for the hours specified,
except pursuant to a permit issued under this section, unless:
(1)
The motor vehicle displays a current resident parking permit
obtained from the Delanco Police Department pursuant to the provisions
of this section, and the permit is on visible display in its proper
location;
(2)
The motor vehicle displays a current visitor parking permit
provided by a resident who has obtained same pursuant to the provisions
of this section, and the permit is on visible display in its proper
location;
(3)
The motor vehicle is associated with a contractor, service or
delivery business, bearing the name and address of a commercial business,
which vehicles may be parked only during the time period that they
are actively rendering service to the resident within the permit parking
area; or
(4)
The motor vehicle is for a public safety, emergency, or public
utility entity, which vehicles may be parked only during the time
period that they are actively rendering service within the area.
B. Application for permit; granting of permit. Application for the parking
permits under this subsection shall be made, in writing, on forms
provided by the Police Department. Permits shall be granted:

(1)
To persons who are residents on the street or designated portions
thereof upon which parking is restricted by this subsection, whose
property abuts those streets even if their formal address designation
indicates a different street, or to residents whose property is on
Delaware Avenue between Lilac Lane and Cedar Lane. A resident parking
permit shall be issued for up to eight vehicles owned by the resident
or principally operated by the person(s) who reside at such residences.

(2)
Twenty-five visitor parking permits may be issued upon request
to each residential unit on any street or portion thereof upon which
parking is restricted by this subsection for use only by visitors
to that residential unit.
(3)
The Chief of Police or his designee shall create a permit parking
application form and determine the size, color and configuration of
the permit, and the manner to be displayed consistent with this chapter.
(4)
In order to obtain permits, residents must apply to Police Department.
There will be no charge to the resident for the cost of the permit.
Permits shall remain valid unless the resident or vehicle in question
is no longer compliant with the terms of this chapter. In the event
of a change in vehicle or other factors impacting the permit, it shall
be the obligation of the resident to notify the Police Department.
C. Signs. The Chief of Police is hereby directed to have proper signs
posted regarding the provisions of this subsection erected or placed
upon those streets or portions thereof herein described. If a sign
is lost, damaged or discarded, the resident may request replacements.
There shall be no cost for the issuance of resident permits, visitor
permits, or replacements.

No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the following
described streets or parts of streets, in the River's Edge Development:
A. No parking is permitted along curbs which are painted yellow or not
otherwise designated as "parking spaces" in accord with the "Parking
Plan for River's Edge, Township of Delanco," prepared by Environmental
Resolutions, Inc., dated January 12, 2015, incorporated herein by
reference and on file with the Township Clerk.
B. No parking is permitted in front of driveways or in any location
where a portion of a driveway is blocked.
C. No parking is permitted in locations described in New Jersey Motor
Vehicle and Traffic Laws Title 39.
D. The courts are private roadways and not included under the purview
of Motor Vehicle and Traffic Laws Title 39. No parking is permitted
in the courts per the Planning Board approval.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours
specified in Schedule II of any day (except Sundays and public holidays)
upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule
II, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop or stand a vehicle during
the times specified in Schedule III of any day (except Sundays and
public holidays) upon any of the streets or parts of streets described
in said Schedule III, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than
the time limit shown in Schedule IV at any time between the hours
listed in said Schedule IV of any day (except Sundays and public holidays)
upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule
IV, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the
streets or parts thereof described in Schedule V, attached to and
made a part of this chapter, except at the angle designated and only
within the painted white stall lines.

A. No person, firm or corporation shall park any truck,
trailer or tractor, the net weight of 10,000 pounds or more, upon
any street or roadway within the Township of Delanco.

B. Nothing within this section shall be construed as
preventing vehicles exceeding a gross weight of one ton for making
deliveries of merchandise or other property, or as prohibiting any
vehicle exceeding said gross weight of one ton used by any public
utility company in connection with the construction, installation,
operation or maintenance of public utility facilities from parking
while being used for such purposes.
C. No person, firm or corporation shall park any boat,
bus, camper, limousine, tractor, trailer of any type, or any recreational
vehicles, regardless of the weight thereof, upon any street or roadway
within the Township of Delanco between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and
6:00 a.m. prevailing time; provided, however, that one may park such
a vehicle for up to one hour during the prohibited time period to
load or unload.

D. No person, firm or corporation shall load, unload
or park any jet ski trailer or boat trailer in the following areas
at any time:

E. In addition to the penalties provided by this chapter
for the violation thereof, and not in limitation of the same, whenever
any member of the Police Department of the Township of Delanco finds
a vehicle parked in violation of this section, such police officer
may move or secure the removal of such vehicle to such garage or other
place for the impounding of such vehicle, and such vehicle shall be
there retained and impounded until the person, firm or corporation
owning such vehicle shall pay the reasonable costs for such taking
and removal, together with a garage towing and storage charge for
each and every day such vehicle is retained and impounded. Immediately
after a vehicle is so removed, the Chief of Police, or such other
police officer acting for him, shall notify the registered owner in
writing, by personal service or by certified mail, at the last known
address of such owner concerning the removal of such vehicle, of the
reason for the same and the location of said vehicle. After the vehicle
has been in possession of the Police Department for 30 days and the
owner is unknown and cannot be found or refuses to receive such vehicle,
the vehicle shall be deemed to be abandoned and shall be disposed
of pursuant to P.L. 1964, c. 81 (N.J.S.A. 39:10A-1 et seq.), as supplemented
and amended.
