1. Outdoor burning shall be prohibited with the Borough limits.
2. Exceptions to this prohibition are:
A. Charcoal and gas shall be permitted for the purpose of cooking.
B. Bonfires in connection with sports or other celebration shall be
permitted with prior written authorization of the Borough Code Official.
Under no circumstances shall trash, garbage, leaves, brush, branches,
limbs or hazardous materials be used as fuel for bonfires.
C. Oil or kerosene decorative lanterns and torches are permitted.
D. Charcoal, gas, artificial logs and firewood may be used for outdoor
fireplaces. Under no circumstances may tree wood parts or brush be
incinerated for the purpose of disposal.
3. Nothing in this Part shall prohibit any fire maintained solely for
the purpose of firefighter training; provided, however, that said
fire officials shall ensure that no noxious fumes be emitted and that
any flying debris is extinguished. Said fire department officials
shall notify the Borough five days prior to such training session.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision
of this Part, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to pay a
fine of not more than $1,000 plus costs and, in default of payment
of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 30
days. Each day that a violation of this Part continues shall constitute
a separate offense.
