[Ord. 1965-6, 5/10/1965]
All newly constructed streets in the Borough of Oxford shall have curbing installed as an integral part of such new construction.
[Ord. 1965-6, 5/10/1965; as amended by Ord. 810, 12/17/2007; and by Ord. 893, 3/21/2016]
The curbing required by this Part shall meet the specifications set forth in § 21-905, as amended, which such specifications are herein incorporated by reference.
[Ord. 1965-6, 5/10/1965]
The Council of the Borough of Oxford may assess, to the limit allowed by law, the owners of real estate abutting on the improvement, for the actual cost of the curbing installed.
[Ord. 1965-6, 5/10/1965]
The Secretary of the Borough of Oxford shall cause 30 days' notice of any such assessment to be given to each party assessed, either by service on the owner or his agent or by leaving such notice on the assessed premises.
[Ord. 1965-6, 5/10/1965]
If any assessment shall remain unpaid at the expiration of the notice, it shall be the duty of the Borough Solicitor to collect the same, with interest from the time of completion of the improvement, by action of assumpsit or by a lien to be filed and collected in the same manner as municipal claims. When an owner has two or more lots against which there is an assessment for the same improvement, all of such lots may be embraced in one claim.
