The boundary limits of the Borough of Shillington are hereby
established as a zone in which motor vehicles may remain standing
without lights, and all streets and alleys within such boundary limits
are hereby designated as streets and alleys where motor vehicles may
remain standing without lights.

Wherever a space is marked off on any street or alley for the
parking of an individual vehicle, every vehicle there parked shall
be parked wholly within the lines bounding such space.

1.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park, or allow to remain parked,
on any street or public alley or any part of any street or public
alley in residential and institutional zones within the Borough of
Shillington, any vehicle other than a passenger vehicle or car. The
definition of a "passenger vehicle or car" does not include buses,
tow trucks, roll-back trucks, stake body trucks, step vans, cube vans,
any truck in excess of 10,000 pounds (GVW), and moving vans, except
for local pickup and delivery.
2.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park, or allow to remain parked,
on any street or public alley or any part of any street or public
alley in residential and institutional zones within the Borough of
Shillington, for more than 24 hours, the following: boats, motor homes,
camping trailers, trailers of any type, or passenger cars attached
to trailers of any kind.
3.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park, or allow to remain parked,
on any street or public alley or any part of any street or public
alley in residential and institutional zones within the Borough of
Shillington, any construction vehicles unless a building or work permit
has been obtained from the Town Hall relative thereto.
4.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park, or allow to remain parked,
on any street or public alley or any part of any street or public
alley within the Borough of Shillington, any vehicle without current,
valid registration plates.
5.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park, or allow to remain parked,
on any street or public alley or any part of any street or public
alley within the Borough of Shillington, any vehicle without a current
inspection sticker unless the vehicle is legally parked in front of,
or in close proximity to, an official state inspection station which
identifies said vehicle by work order specifying state inspection
will be performed within 24 hours. Additional work orders beyond the
initial 24 hours are prohibited.
6.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park, or allow to remain parked,
on any street or public alley or any part of any street or public
alley within the Borough of Shillington, any vehicle deemed mechanically
inoperable.

Parking shall be prohibited as follows:
A.
Parking exceeding stated time as Borough Council may from time to
time resolve or ordain.
B.
Parking too close to an intersection.
C.
Blocking an entrance to a garage.
D.
Parking too close to a safety zone.
E.
Parking within 30 feet of a stop sign, yield sign, flashing signal,
traffic light.
F.
Parking more than 12 inches from the curb.
G.
Parking on a crosswalk.
H.
Parking at any place where official signs prohibit parking.
I.
Parking on private property without permission.
J.
Double parking.
K.
Parking in a fire safety zone.
L.
Parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.
M.
Parking within 20 feet of the entrance to a fire house.
N.
Parking headed in the opposite direction of traffic.

Any person who shall violate the provisions of this Part shall,
upon summary conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25
and costs of prosecution; and, in default of payment of such fine
and costs, to imprisonment for not more that five days.
