All areas within the Municipal Building are
designated nonsmoking areas.
A. Section 254.92(1) to (4), Wis. Stats., are incorporated herein by reference. Any act required
or prohibited by such section is required or prohibited by this section.
B. The use of all tobacco products on premises owned,
rented by or under the control of the Jefferson School Board shall
be prohibited, except this subsection shall not apply on premises
owned by the school district and rented to another for noneducational
purposes.
C. An action under this section may be commenced by citation pursuant to Chapter
1, Article
I of this Code.
A. State statutes adopted. The provisions of §§ 134.65
and 134.66, Wis. Stats., defining and regulating the sale, procurement,
and dispensing of cigarettes and tobacco products, including provisions
relating to the penalty to be imposed or the punishment for violation
of such statutes, are adopted and made a part of this chapter by reference.
A violation of any such provision shall constitute a violation of
this chapter.
B. Licenses.
(1) When required. No person shall, within the City, shall
sell cigarette or tobacco products without a license, as required
by Ch. 134, Wis. Stats.
(2) License fee. The fee for a cigarette license shall
be $100 per year.

A. Except as otherwise provided herein, any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall be subject to a penalty as provided in Chapter
1, Article
I of this Code.
B. In addition to the penalty provided in Subsection
A above, a juvenile may be subject to the dispositions and sanctions as provided in Chapter
1, §
1-6 of this Code.

A. "Electronic smoking device" means any product containing nicotine
or any other similar substance intended for human consumption that
can be used by a person to simulate smoking through inhalation of
vapor or aerosol from the product. Electronic smoking device includes
any component part of such product whether or not sold separately.
Electronic smoking device does not include any product that has been
approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for
sale as a tobacco cessation product and is being marketed and sold
solely for the approved purpose.
B. Consistent with §§ 134.66 and 254.92 Wis. Stats, no
person shall sell or offer any electronic smoking device or nicotine
product to any person under 18 years of age.
C. No person under 18 years of age shall possess any electronic smoking
device or nicotine product.
D. No person shall use an electronic smoking device on school grounds
or in school buildings.
