For the purpose of this Article, the following terms, phrases,
words and their normal derivations will have the meanings given herein:
GARAGE SALE
A sale of goods offered to the public conducted at a single-family,
a dual-family or a multi-family residential dwelling place.
GOODS
Any goods, wares, merchandise, articles or other personal
property capable of being the object of a sale regulated hereunder.
PERSON
Any person, household, firm, partnership, association, corporation,
company or organization of any kind.

It shall be unlawful for any person to conduct more than two
(2) garage sales at the same location within any calendar year.

A notice is required prior to conducting a garage sale. Said
notice shall be provided to the Lake Saint Louis Police Department
by either notifying the Police Department by telephone or in writing
of the time, date and location said garage sale shall be conducted
and the names, addresses and telephone numbers of the person(s) responsible
for conducting the sale.

It shall be unlawful to conduct a garage sale lasting longer
than three (3) days duration.

No person shall erect, place, post or mark any sign advertising
a garage sale on any public property, including street rights-of-way,
street signs and posts, traffic signs or posts or on any utility poles.
Signs may be posted on parked vehicles, so long as said vehicles are
legally parked. Signs may also be placed on private property so long
as said signs are erected, placed, posted or marked only on the days
of said sale and only during the hours of the sale and removed daily
at the close of the sale. Said signs shall be a maximum size of five
(5) square feet. The person responsible for conducting such garage
sale shall be responsible for removing such sign.

No goods offered for sale at a garage sale shall be displayed
for sale on any public street or right-of-way.
