The Board of Supervisors finds that the efficient and orderly transfer of real estate within Carroll Township requires that the purchasers of real estate or their representatives be able to determine the status of real estate tax payments on property within the Township.
The duly elected or appointed Tax Collector of Carroll Township from time to time serving is designated as the Township Official authorized to issue in the form of a certification the status of real estate tax payments on all real estate within Carroll Township.
The Board of Supervisors shall, by resolution, establish the fee or charge to be paid to the Township for a certification for each tax parcel of real estate. Such fee or charge shall be collected and retained by the Tax Collector as compensation for providing the service authorized by this article.

The Real Estate Tax Collector is authorized to charge the following fees for services rendered in the performance of the duties and responsibilities associated with the collection of real estate taxes for Carroll Township:
A. 
Fee to supply a copy of tax bill, per bill: as set forth from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
B. 
Fee to comply a lien certificate, per certificate: as set forth from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
C. 
Fee for check returned by bank due to insufficient funds: as set forth from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
