This article shall be applicable to all territory
within the limits of the Town of Thompson outside of the incorporated
limits of the Village of Monticello.

It shall be lawful for any authorized organization
as defined in General Municipal Law § 476, upon obtaining
a license therefor as provided by General Municipal Law Article 14-H
and rules and regulations adopted by the State Gaming Commission pursuant
to the Bingo Control Law, Article 19-B of the Executive Law, to conduct
the game or games of bingo in the territory of the Town of Thompson.
A. The conduct of bingo games in the Town of Thompson
shall be subject to the restrictions set forth in § 479
of the General Municipal Law.
B. Any game of bingo conducted within the Town pursuant
to a license issued in accordance with this article and the applicable
statutes may be operated by authorized organizations on the first
day of the week, commonly known as "Sunday."
The provisions of the Bingo Licensing Law, Article
14-H of the General Municipal Law, and the Bingo Control Law, Article
19-B of the Executive Law, shall control the licensing of organizations
and the conduct of bingo games in the Town of Thompson, and this article
incorporates said provisions by reference as if set forth in full
herein. Any inconsistency between this article and said statutes shall
be resolved in favor of those statutes.
The Town Board of the Town of Thompson may,
pursuant to § 498 of the General Municipal Law, delegate
to an officer or officers of such Town designated by the Town Board
for such purpose any of the authority granted to such governing body
by Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law in relation to the issuance,
amendment and cancellation of licenses, the conduct of investigations
and hearings, the supervision of the operation of the games and the
collection and transmission of fees.
The making of any false statement in any application
for a license or in any statement annexed thereto or any other violation
of the provisions of Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law or
any violation of the terms of such a license shall constitute a misdemeanor
and shall subject the offender to forfeiture.

As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the following meanings:
OFFICER
The Sheriff of the County of Sullivan, New York.
Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, titled
"Games of Chance Licensing Law," be and the same is hereby incorporated
herein and made a part hereof with the same force and effect as though
more fully set forth at length and shall apply to the conduct of all
games of chance to be held or conducted within the territorial limits
of the Town of Thompson, Sullivan County, New York.
The rules and regulations of the New York State
Gaming Commission, as the same shall apply to the licensing of games
of chance, be and the same are hereby incorporated herein and made
a part hereof with the same force and effect as though more fully
set forth at length and shall apply to the conduct of all games of
chance to be held or conducted within the territorial limits of the
Town of Thompson, Sullivan County, New York.
Games of chance may be conducted within the
territorial limits of the Town of Thompson, Sullivan County, New York,
by authorized organizations, as defined in Article 9-A of the General
Municipal Law. Each such organization shall obtain a license for the
conduct of such games to be held within the territorial limits of
said Town of Thompson subject to the definitions, limitations, restrictions
and regulations imposed and as set forth in Article 9-A of the General
Municipal Law and the rules and regulations of the State Gaming Commission
and as said Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law and said rules
and regulations of the State Gaming Commission may from time to time
hereafter be modified or amended.
The Town of Thompson, pursuant to the provisions
of Subdivision 2 of § 194 of the General Municipal Law,
does hereby designate the Sheriff of the County of Sullivan, New York,
as the chief law enforcement officer to enforce the terms and provisions
of this article, and he shall exercise those powers and duties as
set forth in Subdivision 1 of § 194 of the General Municipal
Law.
The conduct of games of chance on Sunday is
hereby authorized subject to the limitations and restrictions set
forth in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law.
