A. Established.
1.
A curfew is hereby established in the City of Ellsinore, Missouri,
applicable to all persons, male and female, who have not reached their
17th birthday.

The curfew shall be applicable at the hour of 10:00 P.M. Sunday
through Thursday inclusive and at the hour of 11:00 P.M. on Fridays
and Saturdays, and shall extend until 6:00 A.M.
B. Loitering By Persons Subject To Curfew Prohibited. It is hereby prohibited
for persons under the age of seventeen (17) to loiter in public after
the curfew hours, or to be in public places during said curfew hours,
unless accompanied by a parent or adult responsible for the child.
C. City Police To Enforce. The Chief of Police and all Law Enforcement
Officers of the City shall have the power within their discretion
to notify the parent(s) of any violator of this curfew, or to escort
the violator to his/her home, or both.
D. Exception When Returning Directly Home Or From School Or Church Activities
Or Work. This Section shall not apply to persons who are directly
in the process of returning to their homes after arriving in the City
of Ellsinore, or who are in attendance at sanctioned school or church
activities, or returning from work and then on the direct route to
his/her home, or who are accompanied by their parent(s) or adult responsible
for the child.
E. Penalty. Upon the second occurrence of a violation by a child whose
parent(s) are notified of the violation shall constitute an ordinance
violation and the parent or parents so notified, if convicted, shall
be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation and may be fined up to
three hundred dollars ($300.00) or imprisoned in the County Jail for
forty-eight (48) hours or both by such fine and imprisonment.
