Prior to setting off any fireworks as defined in 35 Pa. P.S. § 1271 et seq.,[1] any person must first apply to the Township and receive a permit therefor.

The application for permit shall be in the form required by the Township and shall include, at a minimum, the following information:
A. 
Name and address of the applicant;
B. 
The site, sketch or drawing as the Township may require showing the location of buildings, structures, utilities and elevations of the place where the fireworks are to be initiated and where the spectators will be maintained;
C. 
The name, address, licensure and experience of the person in charge of the ignition of the fireworks and its safety;
D. 
A complete description of the fireworks to be used, the time and duration of the display;
E. 
A copy of the notice to the fire department having primary coverage of the demonstration area;
F. 
An indemnification and hold harmless clause absolving the Township from any damage to life or property;
G. 
A certification that the applicant will comply with all state laws governing the transportation and discharge of fireworks;
H. 
A bond deemed adequate by the Township conditioned for the payment of all damages, which may be caused to persons or property (minimum $500);
I. 
A signature by the applicant declaring that the facts in the application are true and correct to the best of applicant's knowledge, information and belief.
Such application must be received by the Township in complete form at least 15 days in advance of the proposed display.
No fireworks display application will be considered under the following circumstances:
A. 
Building densities which will not permit the fireworks to be exploded without debris falling on buildings.
B. 
Displays lasting more than one hour or later than 11:00 p.m. without special permission of the Board of Supervisors.
The grant of permit must be advertised by the Township at the expense of the applicant in a newspaper of general circulation once a week for the two weeks prior to the display and posted in the municipal building during the same period to notify Township residents of the date, time and duration of the display.
