Pursuant to the provisions of the Sewerage Authorities Law (P.L. 1946, c. 138)[1] of the State of New Jersey, there is created a public body corporate and politic under the name and style of "the Edgewater Park Sewerage Authority."

The Edgewater Park Sewerage Authority created is a sewerage authority and shall have and exercise all of the powers and perform all of the duties provided for by said Sewerage Authorities Law and any other statutes heretofore or hereafter enacted and applicable thereto.
A copy of the ordinance codified in this chapter, duly certified by the Township Clerk of the Township, shall forthwith be filed by the Township Clerk in the office of the Secretary of State of New Jersey.

All Edgewater Park Sewer Authority members shall be residents of the Township and shall remain residents of the Township during their terms. A member who, subsequent to his appointment, shall maintain an address as his principal primary residence that is not an Edgewater Park Township address shall immediately vacate and forfeit his membership on the Authority, and until a subsequent appointment shall be made by the Township Committee, the post shall be deemed vacant. The Township Committee may remove any member of the Authority for cause on written charges served upon the member and after a hearing thereon in which the Authority member may be entitled to be heard in person or by counsel. This section shall reflect future appointments from date of adoption.
