[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Edgewater Park as Title 5, Ch. 5.24, of the 1998 Township Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The words defined in this section shall mean and include the following when used in this chapter:
DAY-CARE CENTERS
Facilities for the care of children between the ages of 25 months and 60 months.
KINDERGARTENS
Facilities for the care of children from the ages of 61 months to their eligibility for entry into the first grade.
NURSERIES
Facilities for the care of infant children between the ages of six months and 24 months.
No nursery, day-care center or kindergarten shall operate within the Township until such time as it has filed with the office of the Township Clerk a copy of a certificate to operate said facility issued by the appropriate state and/or county agency. Upon filing of said certificate, no further permit shall be required by the Township.
No nursery, day-care center or kindergarten may be operated on Saturday or Sunday or before the hour of 7:00 a.m. or after the hour of 7:00 p.m., prevailing time, on weekdays within a residential zone in the Township.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter or part thereof shall, upon conviction, be subject to the penalty in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty, of the Code of the Township of Edgewater Park.
