No person in a public park and recreation area shall:
A. 
Willfully mark, deface, disfigure, injure, tamper with or displace or remove any buildings, bridges, tables, benches, fireplaces, railings, pavings or paving materials, waterlines or other public utilities or parts or appurtenances thereof, signs, notices or placards, whether temporary or permanent, monuments, stakes, posts or other boundary markers, or other structures or equipment, facilities or park property or appurtenances whatsoever, either real or personal.
B. 
Dig or remove any soil, rock, sand, stones, trees, shrubs or plants or other wood or materials, or make any excavation by tool, equipment, blasting or other means or agency.
C. 
Damage, cut, carve, transplant or remove any tree or plant or injure the bark, or pick flowers or seeds of any tree or plant, dig in or otherwise disturb grass areas, or in any other way injure the natural beauty or usefulness of any area.
D. 
Sell, offer for sale, hawk or display merchandise or food for sale in public recreational parks of the Township without the written permission of the Township Committee of the Township.
E. 
Smoking of any kind (tobacco, marijuana, vaping, etc.).
F. 
Consumption of alcoholic beverages, except for properly supervised group activities approved in writing by the Township.

The field house may not be used without written permission. Normal requests should be made 10 days in advance of a Township Committee meeting to the Township Clerk.

The Township Committee shall have the authority to revoke a permit upon a finding of a violation of any rule or ordinance, or upon good cause shown.
A. 
Groups using the field house are expected to use trash receptacles (butt cans) and leave the premises clean and orderly.
B. 
When leaving the field house, supervisors of activities shall:
(1) 
Check that the thermostat is turned down;
(2) 
Insure that lavatories are flushed and clean;
(3) 
Check that all lights are turned off. Only authorized adults shall actuate the main electrical control box;
(4) 
Check that all doors are locked.
Keys issued to coaches/supervisors are to be returned at the end of season. Presidents/chairmen of organizations may retain keys when desirable.
A. 
Any person destroying or misusing park property or equipment will be subject to prosecution by law.
B. 
Anyone acting in a disorderly manner (profane language/obscene act) may have privilege to use park facilities withdrawn.

Permission to use the park facilities will be granted by the Township Committee. Regularly scheduled games will always take precedence.
Managers/coaches have responsibility for maintaining order and cleaning park areas used. Failure to meet this responsibility may result in suspension of privilege to use facilities in the future.
A. 
Glass containers are not permitted on the recreation grounds.
B. 
Bicycles must be parked in bicycle racks at all times.
C. 
Motor vehicles are not permitted on playing fields. They must be parked in designated areas.
D. 
Driving of golf balls and archery are not permitted on recreation grounds.

If at any time any member of the Township Committee is threatened by any person or persons, this person or persons will be banned from using all recreation facilities.

All park property is off-limits after dusk, except for properly supervised group activities approved in writing by the Township.
No dogs are permitted on the recreation grounds, with the exception of Wood Lake Park. Any dog present in Wood Lake Park must be secured by a leash at all times, and the person walking the dog shall be responsible for the immediate removal of any feces deposited by the dog in and around said park.

No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the recreation fields or in field houses at any time unless by special written permission of the Township Committee.

Any persons violating any of the provisions of this chapter or any rule or regulation promulgated pursuant hereto shall, upon conviction, be subject to the replacement, repair or restoration of any damaged park property and shall be subject to the penalty in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty, of the Code of the Township of Edgewater Park.

The Township Committee of the Township of Edgewater Park, County Burlington, State of New Jersey hereby establishes the Parks and Community Engagement Committee.
A. 
The Township seeks to provide community-based events and activities at the parks, recreational facilities, athletic fields, and open natural spaces, to promote the physical and social well-being of residents; and
B. 
The Township recognizes the need for a committee to plan, organize, coordinate and report on all community-based events, and activities to promote health and wellness to maximize the utilization of parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities; and
C. 
The Committee shall consist of five members, two members serving one-year terms, and three members serving three-year terms; and
D. 
Three members of the Parks and Community Engagement Committee shall serve as Chairperson, Co-Chairperson, and Recording Secretary for the committee; and
E. 
Additional attendees shall consist of a Parks and Community Engagement Coordinator, Police Liaison, Township Committee Member Liaison, and a Public Works Liaison; and
F. 
The Committee members shall be residents and/or property owners of the Township of Edgewater Park and shall remain residents and/or property owners of the Township during their terms. A member who, subsequent to his appointment, does not maintain residency or continue be a property owner within the Township shall immediately vacate and forfeit his/her membership on the Committee and, until a subsequent appointment shall be made, the post shall be deemed vacant; and
G. 
The Parks and Community Engagement Committee shall have no official authority to create, pass or enforce policy without expressed written consent from the Township.

A. 
Any individual or organization that wishes to reserve an athletic field or recreational venue on a one-time or recurring basis shall first complete a reservation application. Applications shall be made available through the office of the Municipal Clerk. Applications shall be subject to approval by the Township Administrator.
(1) 
Applications for field usage shall be taken on a first-come-first-served basis.
(2) 
All field/venue reservation fees shall be paid prior to confirmation/approval of the reservation.
(3) 
All applicants must show proof of required insurance policies paid as a requirement of approval.
(4) 
A schedule, including dates and times of the reservation, shall be required for all applications as a requirement of approval.
B. 
EPAA tentative field usage scheduling regulations.
(1) 
The Edgewater Park Athletic Association shall be allowed to submit tentative field usage schedules as required for youth athletic league participation. Tentative scheduling shall not constitute a confirmed reservation. Tentative dates will be considered in scheduling of Township-sponsored events.
(2) 
All tentative dates are subject to forfeiture upon the Township's receipt of a confirmed reservation.
(3) 
A confirmed schedule, including dates and times for each EPAA season or event, will result in a confirmed reservation. Confirmed reservations are required for all games, practices, and events. Proof of paid insurance must be supplied as a requirement of reservation approval.
(4) 
EPAA shall be responsible for mitigating any scheduling conflicts or forfeiture of dates until a confirmed reservation is received.
