The terms of office of the Mayor and the Village Trustees are four years.
The general Village election for the election of all elective Village Offices shall be held biennially in the fall of each even-numbered year, coincident with the general fall election and shall be conducted by the Dutchess County Board of Elections in accordance with the New York State Election Law or any amendments thereto changing or varying the date or dates of the general fall primary per New York State Election Law § 15-104, Subsection 1c.
The Mayor and two Trustees shall be elected at one election cycle and the two other Trustees shall be elected at the next election cycle
All terms of office shall commence on January 1 of the year following the date of the election to that office.
