The area defined as the School Zone shall be at the five-way intersection beginning at SR011, segment 0070, from Jacobs Alley to Pine Street, SR2010, segment 0010, from Ferry Street to Pine Street, and Ferry Street, 63 feet south of the crosswalk to Church Alley.
There shall be a reduction of the speed limit to 15 miles per hour in this designated school area from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. on school days.
Any person who shall violate any provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of not more than $500 and costs of such proceedings; or upon default of payment of such fines and costs, by imprisonment in the county jail for a term of not more than 30 days.
It shall be the duty of the Danville Borough Police Department to enforce the terms of this chapter and secure compliance with the requirement thereof.
Effective at such time as the proper signs have been erected, a School Zone shall be established at the five-way intersection of SR 11, SR2010, and Ferry Street with a reduced speed limit established at 15 miles per hour.
